Allow me to begin...

I thought it was about time I started a blog for myself. We've been married a year and a half and have yet to chronical our lives. So to recap the major events:

The Wedding: Despite the rain it was nearly perfect. What wedding is completely perfect though? The only major change I would make is to have chosen a different florist. At the end of the day though it was a great party and everyone had a ton of fun.

The ceremony itself was rather long and all of our friends still get quite a kick out of all the chanting.

Jerry Ryan gave us quite a show at the reception and kept everyone dancing into the night. The food (catered by Seville Quarter) was brilliant, even though I couldn't eat a thing I was so excited. And the cake (!), Sharon Tobin really out did herself. It was delicisoso!

But by far the best element of the day were Meg and Charles Baisden, the dynamic photography duo. They made the memories look even better than they were. I can't say enough how thankful I am that we were able to book them. And even though he initially scoffed at the cost, dad declared it the best money spent.

The Honeymoon: We cruised to Mexico, Belize, and Guatemala. Belize and Guatemala were my favorites. In Belize we trekked thru the jungle with inner tubes and floated back down a crystal blue river thru a system of caves. Talk about an adventure. And Guatemala was just beautiful, despite the extreme poverty.

Being on the boat was fun too, until we hit some rough water. Then I spent most of my time in our stateroom trying not to vomit. I don't think we'll be going on another cruise anytime soon. But I did manage to participate in The Newlywed Game, and win first place in Twisted Kareoke!

Buying our first home: We searched for a house for a while and couldn't find anything we liked in our budget. Dad and T-dog had a townhouse they were in the process of renovating and they offered to sell it to us. So we moved in when renovations were complete and bought it 6 months later. It's been a great little home. I love the location, it's so close to everything!

Frist Anniversary: 2 days before we found out we were expecting! So we didn't do anything special. We drove over to Destin and did a bit of shopping. It was a pretty happy day. Little did we know that a few weeks later we'd lose the baby. Since then life has been pretty devastating. We can't seem to catch a break. But we're trying to keep our heads high and trust that God will bring us thru this rough time.

And that's where we're at.

XOXO
